This chart matches Scag OEM blade numbers for Turf Tiger, Tiger Cat, Patriot, V-Ride and walk-behind decks to their Rotary and Oregon replacements, grouped by length.
What's in this chart: 30 blades from 16-1/2" to 24-1/2" long. The most common lengths are 16-1/2" (11), 18" (8), 21" (7). By style: standard lift (11), mulcher (11), high lift (8). We carry a Rotary or Oregon equivalent for 30.
How to use this chart
Find your OEM number in the first column (use your browser's Find, Ctrl+F or "Find on page"), then read across for the Rotary and Oregon replacement. Not sure of your number? Look up your machine by model and serial in our machine parts lookup.
How to match a mower blade
- Start with the number. The OEM part number is usually stamped on the blade near the center hole. Clean it with a wire brush if it's hard to read.
- Length: measure straight across from tip to tip. Worn blades lose a little length, so round to the nearest standard size in the chart.
- Center hole: note the diameter (5/8", 13/16", 15/16" and so on) and the shape (round, star, 5-point or 6-point). A blade that fits the spindle loosely will vibrate and can come loose.
- Width, thickness and lift: high-lift blades bag and discharge best, mulching blades have a curved cutting edge, and low-lift blades kick up less dust in sandy soil.
Replace blades as a set so the deck stays balanced, and torque the blade bolts to the mower maker's spec. A bent blade should be replaced, never straightened.
